Haunted Haiku
Trick and treat? This fall, we want your eeriest, most spine-tingling...haiku.
Give us your things that go bump in the night, your most bizarre nightmares. But tell your tale of horror and haunt in three short lines.
Need a refresher? A haiku consists of five syllables in the first line, seven syllables in the second line, and five in the third line.
The writer of the most haunted haiku will win a Gotham class of their choosing and publication on our website.
Some inspiration...
The hollow void creeps.
“Behind you!” If only ‘twas
A face to flee from.

Roaring, roiling sea
Swallowing my cries for help
Alone… ‘til they come
-Samantha Dunne
In Sleepy Hollow,
Scarier than the horseman,
The Hordes of tourists.
